Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff

This is about the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel, fairly extended stays, this time 11 nights. I keep going back because: 1) the rooms, including the bathrooms, are large and comfortable with all one needs 2) the buffet breakfasts have an excellent selection, a good start to any day 3) the location, situated within walking distance of the Bay and the shopping and historic centre, is excellent 4) the staff are excellent, friendly and helpful at all times 5) it is pleasing to see that work is quietly going on to refresh the facilities

The young lady on reception duty was very professional and helpful in getting us into our room an hour before time , very approachable and knowledgeable of the area around the hotel. So much so that, with the hotel in a prime location the railway station and city centre within a few minutes walk and, with the room facilities as described, we'll certainly be booking the hotel again, this time for a longer stay.

The hotel was in the perfect location for our overnight stay in Cardiff - 5 mins from the Utilita Arena and St David's shopping centre with a huge selection of bars and restaurants to choose from. Although there is some parking at the hotel, it seems to be in very high demand so we parked over the road in the John Lewis car park which worked out the same price for overnight parking and was very convenient. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful and the public areas (reception, bar, reception) were all very pleasant. The aircon in our room was also excellent!

The hotel location is fantastic with everything - station, arenas, castle etc a short walk away. The staff were really friendly and helpful with any queries we had. Our room was larger than we expected and really well appointed. We had a great nights sleep as well. The selection of food available at breakfast was amazing and kept well supplied by a really friendly team. After our recent negative experience at a Radisson Blu in London we were concerned that we'd experience similar issues but the difference between them was like night and day and our stay was wonderful.

I liked the location as it was close to the city centre but not in its heart. It made our stay much more relaxing. Despite its location being in the middle of a busy intersection, we did not have any qualms about the noise. Breakfast was superb, with buffet supplied daily and refilled by the chefs regularly. Choices were a-plenty and despite the queue for the coffee machine, it was enjoyable.
